Merry Christmas from the O'Leary's

We had a beautiful Christmas - thanks largely to our wonderful family!! Joss and Jackson had so much fun opening gifts and playing with them. They both had little nose colds, so a lot of the pictures show them with boogers either peeking out, or about to!

Here is Joss with her Ariel art set from Gramma and Grampa Stovall (aka Big Gramma and Grampa - as opposed to her Little Grandparents!!)

Here are some crocs from Ampy Paige. They love crocs almost as much as their mommy!
Joss asked Santa for pink makeup - and he delivered! Thanks Elves!

Jackson was sporting his custom made shirt from Auntie Mishel! He was styling while he opened his presents!
We had a great Christmas. We missed everyone, but we're looking forward to coming to Montana in just a few weeks!! YAY!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Matthews Christmas

This wagon is an american girl doll wagon, so it is not meant for human babies, yet charlee was eager to prove that she could use it just as well as those dolls can:) this is a dora the explorer chair that charlee sat in while opening presents... lets just say she was content with her seat, cuz she didn't want to get out of it... even to open more presents!!!
we were able to squeeze in a family picture...

notice the matching long johns:)

We went to go see Santa this week and Charlee was sooo good. She doesn't go to other people very well, but she had no problems sitting on Santa's lap:) in fact, she couldn't stop staring at him!

Thanksgiving with the Krivanecs

We went to Salty's on Alki Beach outside of Seattle.  This picture of the Krivanec girls (Meg, Maddy and Kate) is my favorite.

Hunting for Christmas trees in the Northwest

I should have brought dog shampoo and put it on Stanley and the Rain could have acted like a shower.

We got our Christmas tree.  It was rainy and wet. We went with a friend from James' work.  We went back to his house and had chili afterwards.  It warmed us up and dried us out!

MythBusters

I went to a science teacher conference in Portland, and the key note speakers were Adam and Jaime from Mythbusters.  I got their autograph.  Also at this conference I found out that I passed my National Boards.  Yippee.

Christmas Wish List

Can everyone see the red and pink Christmas background that I applied to the blog (or the Thanksgiving one I added last week)? Reid can't see the background or read any of the text when he is at work. I was just wondering if anyone else was having similar problems..... send me an email or comment on this post if you are and I will change it back!

I added a "Dear Santa" list to the right side of our blog. This is intended to be a place for you to list items that your family would like for Christmas from your Secret Santa Family (although how secret are they really?)

I know for Reid and I it is very difficult to know what to get everyone each year because we are so far away. I also know that money is tight so I would like to spend my money on a gift that you would really like.

To add items to the list sign in to the blog, and then click on the little tools icon on the bottom right corner of the list. A box will pop up with the list for you to add to.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you have an idea for a better way to share this information.

Merry Christmas

Cheerleading sleep-over

Grandma Stovall's jean jacket made a public appearance at our first team sleep-over. The theme was Girls Just Want to Have Fun (Thank you Sarah Jessica Parker for a great chick flick). We all dressed up 90's style to watch the movie. We also played Cheer Monopoly, sat in the jacuzzi, and had our traditional pizza and chocolate fountain. I thought you might like to see my girls and get a kick out of my outfit (picture the navy blue leg warmers and neon pink checkered Vans shoes not shown).....

We celebrated her birthday on tuesday, the 28th, but since her REAL birthday is on the 29th we had another little party with just the kids. we made some cookies and everyone got to blow out their own candle.

Goat Hunt September 19-23

Here is my first goat. It was 3 1/2 years old with 7 1/2 inch horns.

It was a little over a 6 hour hike from our float plane drop off to the top of the mountain we camped on. This is a rock chute we climbed through on our way to the top.

Camp

This is Ben and I. Ben was the one responsible for the hunt. He also shot a goat the same age but with shorter but thicker horns. We didn't see a lot of goats where we were hunting. We worked hard for the goats we got and even harder after we got them.

One last picture of my goat.

Hunting

Here are pictures of last weekend's hunting near Sumatra, MT.
1st is a coyote, then the antelope I shot with my Sharps, then an antelope I shot with my new .270 Winchester. It ran into the fence and you can see the hair that was knocked off when it hit the fence. The 4th is the glory photo with the 'new to me' pre-64 Model 70 Winchester made in 1949, in .270. It was a good week, even though I didn't get my 3rd antelope. Happy hunting...Kirk

I love Montana!

After driving to Rexburg to visit my friends Sarah and Earl, I helped my dad pack his hunting camp into the moutains. I was able to ride along for 2 of the 3 days it took us to pack the tent, stove, and feed into their camp. This is a view of the pack string from my saddle. We had up to 6 horses on the second day.

Quick temple trip on Saturday!

Then on Sunday Smokey and I played cowgirl on a friend's ranch with my dad.

Shannon's Room

Shannon turned 13 on the 14th of October and for her birthday I painted a dancer silhouette. the head of the silhouette is actually shannon's so that it was personalized just a bit:)
And in case you cant read it, the saying above the dancer says "if it were easy, it would be POINTELESS." pointe dancing... pointless... get it:) the words are vinyl though, i didnt paint that.
