Summer Nights
While some of you are sitting in the shade to escape the heat, Max, Luke and I were playing outside in the rain!
Max is the dog on the left and his brother, who is staying with us for 3 weeks, is on the right. Two dogs is proving to be exhausting!

Fishing pictures
Don't be fooled by the sign. This picture was taken in 2008! I think I am going to write a nasty letter to the person in charge of marketing for this company and tell her to get her act together!

King salmon Derby 2008.
On average, a king salmon in Ketchikan costs about 36 rod hours. To catch them you drop your line about 70 feet and then troll (or drive slowly, pulling your bait through the water at a certain depth) at about 2.5 mph. The water was very calm so the boys played some cards during the down time. We only caught a few shakers (kings that were too small to keep) but it was a nice day on the boat and in the sun.
